About Sport Report

We make sports easy for everyone to understand by delivering short-form content and analytical insights, all from a neutral perspective.

Our Mission

We want to help people make informed decisions without opinion or bias in the back of their minds. We want to be as neutral as possible. We also want to appeal to casual sports fans, in addition to the fanatics who love their teams, while being personable with everyone.

Our Values

We place a lot of emphasis on three things: Accuracy. Neutrality. Integrity.

Accuracy:

  • We want to be as correct as possible. It does not mean we will be perfect. It means that we won’t promote sources that give false information. We might not be first, but we will be right. That’s our goal at the end of the day: telling the whole story. We will have journalistic integrity and keep sources a secret.

Neutrality:

  • Fans will look at the data and develop their own perspective of a team and form their own conclusions based on data, without an opinion from us. What people do with the information is up to them. We aim to have no outside influence on people and their decisions.

Integrity:

  • We will not attack people or call them out on social media (we’re not Barstool Sports). We will not alienate. We will not patronize. We will not lie to create a story nor fabricate or extend the truth. The goal is to make friends, not enemies. Our coverage will avoid disrespecting others.

Our History

For those of you who don’t know me, I’m Chandler With Sports. Yes, that’s what everyone calls me. I’m a sports fanatic who loves…yeah you guessed it: Sports. This letter is not about me; however, if you want to learn more about me, there is a page devoted to that. This page is about the company and what we do. While I am the Founder, Sports Director and a few other titles, the real focus should be on our team at SR. It’s about everyone who’s involved in this venture. As Steve Jobs once said, “Great things in business are never done by one person. They are done by a team of people.” We believe in building a great team to deliver great content.

The idea for SR has changed over the years. At first it was about betting, then it became about updating fans on the results from the night before in under 15 minutes. Now, we are focused on the analytics derived from past results and how they can help fans like you know more about a game in the future. We still have a podcast, but it will be less frequent. We also have other things we will announce in due time.

Company Goals

  • As a company, we will strive to be accurate, neutral, and respectful. Sometimes complete neutrality is impossible to achieve (as humans we have bias); however, our goal is to eliminate that bias as much as possible (and believe us, it’s possible). We’re just here to give another perspective. You create your own opinion about a player, team, game, league, etc. We won’t develop that opinion for you.
  • We want to get to the point, while also having some fun in covering sports. Our goal is to help you think in a different way about your favorite team or league through the insights we find and the places we go.
  • Everything we do, we believe in challenging the status quo. We believe in thinking differently. We don’t just “stick to the game plan”. The world is evolving. If you’re not changing with it, you’re going to be left in the dust. We take that one step further: we are out to Change The Game.
  • We are professional, and we are unconventional, but that’s what makes us unique. We use contractions in our sentences, we even throw in emojis here and there 😁. We want to simplify sports for the casual fan, not dumb it down. You do not have to be a sports fanatic to understand what we talk about. We won’t treat you like you are “less than us”. We’ll talk (or write) to you as if you’re equal, a friend, a human being. At the end of the day, we’re all humans. We want to treat you as such.
  • There will be no opinions and no bias. No politics. Just sports. No talking heads making crazy points for attention. No power rankings or tiered rankings telling you that your team failed. Those are all opinions. We are going to stay away from that.
  • Now, we ask if you are going to give us feedback that you are honest, but do not blame us. We are not perfect, nor are you. We did not cause your team to lose and certainly had no impact on the game. So please, do not fault us for something we had no control over. So please don’t cherrypick us or “turd-mine” our failures. We make mistakes. We accept that. Nobody is perfect and we don’t want to be (it’s impossible to achieve).

We are looking to expand our coverage into other sports in the future. If you want Sport Report to visit your stadium or watch a game, reach out to us via the Contact Us page. Our goal is to visit every professional stadium we can and provide coverage originating from various events and locations.

Good things come to those who wait. You must do the hard work to where you want to be. Ladies and Gentlemen, the hard work isn’t done. It won’t be for a while. We’re ready for what’s next. We’re back, and if there is one thing that hasn’t changed: This Is The Sport Report.
